Meimei is a wood-fired modern Asian restaurant on Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu, where every dish passes through wood, charcoal or lava-rock flame. Its kitchen draws on Balinese, Batak, Javanese and Minangkabau traditions, makes every sambal, sauce, cure and ferment in-house, and sources from small farms across Indonesia. A custom charcoal grill and wood-fire oven sit in an open kitchen, with a circular cocktail bar in a room of recycled clay plaster, teak and stone. Chef Yudha Permana's signature selection runs to eight to ten dishes, and it is open every day from 17:00 to 02:00.
