Rockfish Cliffside is a fine-dining seafood restaurant in a limestone grotto at Karang Boma, Pecatu, in Uluwatu. The room sits about 100 metres above the Indian Ocean, on a wood deck that extends into a glass balcony over the cliff edge. Head chef Andrey Legkiy, formerly of Nobu and Ginza, cooks seafood and wagyu with Japanese, French and Italian influences, from sashimi and tiradito to wood-fired mains and linguine. It opens every day from 12:00 to 23:30, and DJs play Friday, Saturday and Sunday from sunset, with free entry.
Rockfish Uluwatu was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The food was next level and every dish was so fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The view is unreal and makes the whole experience even more special.
Rockfish at Uluwatu is truly a hidden gem. Getting there from the main road, you almost feel like you're heading the wrong way — as if you're driving toward a private home tucked away in the jungle.
Even though it was raining, the service truly made the whole experience feel warm and cozy for me and my boyfriend. We celebrated our anniversary here and it couldn't have been more wonderful.
